Alvin & Sheila Vega have always dreamed of opening a restaurant & resort.  In December of 2003, that dream became a reality.  Little did they know that leaving their family and friends far behind would be so traumatic.  By March they were both so homesick and had repeated the words "I don't know" so many times that the dream felt like a nightmare.  One late evening in March they were sitting around and Sheila remarked how she felt so lost.  Alvin said he felt lost, too.  "Well, I guess we're the Lost Vegas," Sheila said, and that is how the resort's name came to be.  Now, after their first year, they are very comfortable in their new surroundings and are finally living the dream they wanted to pursue.

The Vegas are fun-loving and have created an atmosphere that is warm and friendly.  Sheila was never much of a cook, so all the meals are prepared by Alvin.  Best yet, all the dinners are homemade....There aren't any prepared foods served at Lost Vega's.  Everything is fresh, including fresh soups, desserts, and organic salads.  Sheila, in the meantime, whips up everyone's favorite drinks.  Offering 24 sites at their RV park on Soo Lake and a cabin on Connor's Lake, the Vegas can meet the needs of any vacationer.

Alvin & Sheila also offer their lodge (restaurant and bar) for parties, class reunions, weddings, and other gatherings.  They offer a full menu, which is available daily, but they also have specials on certain nights.
